Wherever you turn, you can find one of our Indiana University Northwest graduates scattered throughout schools across Indiana and beyond. We've had student teachers placed in 71 different urban, suburban and rural school districts throughout the region and parts of Illinois, offering our students a diverse student-teaching experience you won't find anywhere else.

Our unique problem-based learning approach gives you the resources you need to succeed teaching elementary and high school students. Our program focuses on curriculum design and deliver, teacher effectiveness, educational opportunity, learning technologies and leadership to prepare you for your future teaching the tomorrow's leaders.

Get your degree on your time

Our flexible program consists of 33 graduate credit hours, all elementary and secondary content areas and requires no thesis.

Best of all, with classes offered in the Fall, Spring and Summer, you can start your degree when you're ready.

We take pride in what we do. Indiana University Northwest's School of Education received the full accreditation from the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) — the only nationally recognized accrediting body for educator preparation — for both its initial and advanced licensing programs, meeting rigorous standards that shows we prepare our graduates to succeed in a diverse range of classrooms.
