The Bachelor of Science in Informatics degree program gives students a foundation in applied computer skills. Technology is changing continuously and it is trying to keep pace with industry needs. With the informatics degree you will be able to serve the needs of divergent industries. You will be part of the revolution in other industries that is taking place because of the advances in Computers. Informatics graduates choose a cognate area, like health informatics, Biology, Business, or any other field and complete 15-18 credits in that field. Informatics graduates typically find jobs in industry that uses computer and information technology in their day to day running of the business, which is really every industry.

Description: This degree option is expressly for students who have completed a degree at IVY Tech and are transferring using a TSAP. Psychology is a science that deals with mental processes
and behavior. Psychological scientists study topics such as the structure and function of the brain, perception, learning, memory, thinking, personality, and psychological disorders. A Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Psychology curriculum enables students to 1) think scientifically about behavior and mental processes, 2) appreciate and respect individual differences, and 3) pursue a variety of post-baccalaureate alternatives, including enrollment in graduate or professional school or employment in social service agencies, business, and industry. Both the B.A. and B.S. degrees in psychology provide students with a rigorous general background in psychology that prepares students for entry into psychology graduate programs.

Description: The Bachelor of Arts in Sociology degree program explores the systematic study of society from the micro-level (the individual in society) to the macro-level (the study of institutions). Description: The Bachelor of Science in Business degree program with a concentration in Business Administration is designed to provide the most complete and sophisticated training available in team leadership, team management, and communication skills. The curriculum provides students with a thorough understanding of organizational processes and process management. This concentration places a greater emphasis on the development of sophisticated communication skills that are critical to effective management. Students will become accustomed to working in team- and project-oriented environments, while focusing on group dynamics, motivation, and problem solving. The School of Business and Economics is accredited by AACSB International, the premier accreditation body for schools of business. Full-time professors teach the majority of business and economics classes, supplemented by outstanding business professionals who teach part-time in their respective areas of expertise. Students may use this degree to start careers in just about any industry, including healthcare, financial services, information services, marketing, banking, and human resources; or, use it to prepare themselves for an advanced degree in law or business administration (MBA). Additionally, students pursuing the Business Administration concentration have the option of taking courses appropriate to earning a minor in Marketing or Human Resource/Management.

Description: This academic pathway is only valid for students transferring to 91ÖÆƬ³§ from either Ivy Tech or Vincennes and who have earned an associate’s degree in education from either institution.
An elementary education teaching degree provides a broad and comprehensive range of experiences that prepare one for the challenges and opportunities of teaching elementary students in the twenty-first century. Candidates in this program learn the foundations of reading development, effective reading instruction, how to monitor growth in reading. Candidates learn to effectively meet the needs of students with mild exceptional needs and have a broad and comprehensive understanding for amending and modifying individualized programs, and providing effective positive behavioral interventions and supports. Candidates learn to provide content-specific instruction in English language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, fine arts, health, wellness, and physical education. Candidates explore and examine methods of integrating these content areas with an array of instructional resources and approaches. During the degree program one will have many opportunities to work with kindergarten through grade six students and teachers. Completion of this degree enables one to be licensed by the State of Indiana to teach elementary students in grades K-6.

Description: This academic pathway is only valid for students transferring to 91ÖÆƬ³§ from either Ivy Tech or Vincennes and who have earned an associate’s degree in education from either
institution. The undergraduate Teaching All Learners (TAL) program prepares candidates to teach in either Elementary Education or in K-6 Special Education: Mild Interventions. This degree
program requires candidates to take seven 3-credit hour courses dedicated to preparation in Special Education. Two additional elementary education courses address CEC and state special
education standards in reading/language and technology. Candidates complete two 10-weeks field experiences and an 8-week clinical experience in special education (they do another 8-week
clinical experience in Elementary Education). Candidates must pass through Checkpoints at critical decision points and must meet grade, GPA, portfolio, disposition, Praxis, and SPA
assessment requirements before moving forward in their program. Candidates in this program are provided opportunities to learn and practice the knowledge, skills, and dispositions needed to
become effective special education teachers of students who receive the general curriculum. Since Indiana is a non-categorical state, the license our candidates earn is not tied to a specific
disability. Instead, candidates are prepared to work with students with all disabilities as long as they are able to receive the general curriculum.

Description: A life sciences (Biology, Anatomy & Physiology) teaching degree provides a broad and comprehensive range of experiences that prepare one for the challenges and
opportunities of teaching about living systems in the twenty-first century. Candidates in this program learn about cellular chemistry, organisms, interdependence of life, principles of
genetics, the history of life on earth, modern taxonomic classification, and gain a broad and comprehensive understanding of evolution. Candidates explore and examine methods for
studying and teaching science as an inquiry process. During the degree program one will have many opportunities to work with middle and high school students and teachers. Completion of
this degree enables one to be licensed by the State of Indiana to teach biology, anatomy & physiology, and life science classes in grades 5-12.

nonlinear functions, measurement and geometry, statistics and probability, calculus, and discrete Mathematics. Candidates explore and examine methods for studying and
teaching mathematics as an inquiry process. During the degree program, one will have many opportunities to work with middle and high school students and teachers.
Completion of this degree enables one to be licensed by the State of Indiana to teach mathematics classes in grades 5-12.
